House Rules

Welcome to Troldhaugen Lodge. Please take time and familiarising yourself with our rules. These rules are for the safety and comfort of all our guests.

Equipment 

  • No skis or snowboards in bedrooms. Any equipment left in the drying room is your responsibility.
  • Drying room is situated on the ground floor, next to the games room.
  • For the comfort of other guests, the games room operates between 8.30am to 9.30pm.
  • Please lock your rooms - we do not take responsibility for your belongings in your rooms or in the common areas.

Heating

  • Heaters are on a central timer. Use the valve on the heater in your room to turn it up or down. Clockwise for off. Anti-clockwise for on.

Non Smoking

  • No Smoking - if you wish to smoke, a butt bin is attached to the light pole at the front of the Lodge.

Reception

  • Reception hours are 7am–10am and 4pm–7pm please advise us if you will be arriving late. When reception is unattended please ring the buzzer at the sign in desk. Atfer 10.30pm - emergencies only.

Fire Alarms

  • Fire alams - for your safety a central smoke detection system is fitted throughout the building. Smoking, cooking, burning candles etc or tampering with the detectors will set off the alarm. The NSW Fire Department issues fines for false alarms. 
  • Do not tamper with fire extinguishers or fire detectors, minimum fine $200 will apply.
  • Emergency - in the case of an emergency there is a detailed map on the back of your bedroom door. Please assemble in Cobbodah Street outside the lodge.

Common areas

  • Noise - please keep others in mind when using common areas, common areas close down at 10pm. We have a no excess noise policy.  Anyone making excessive noise or exceeding the number of registered guests will be asked to leave.
  • We do not take responsibility for your belongings in the common areas.

Damage

  • Malicious damage - guests are reminded that management reserves the right to charge for any items found damaged (more than general wear and tear) or missing.

Food

  • Coffee & tea making facilities are available in the dining room.
  • No Cooking of any description anywhere in the lodge.  A microwave and toaster are available in the dining room.
  • You are welcome to eat your takeaway in the dinning room. 
  • All hot food must be eaten in the dinning room, no hot food in bedrooms.
  • Dining room is open until 9pm.  Please finish any food by 9pm and place all dirty dishes on the trolley outside the kitchen.

Parking 

  • Parking is tight and if you park cars in you may be required to move your car for other guests. Please provide your registration number when signing in so we have a record of who we might need to contact if required. Please do not leave the building if you have parked someone in.
